I Thought “Black Swans” were Rare!

A once in a century 9.0 earthquake, followed by a tsunami hitting the same area, followed by three nuclear catastrophies, makes me wonder why the markets aren’t down more than they are.   “Sell” signals are being triggered.   The international developed markets (VEU for me) was sold today.  Emerging markets (VWO) are close.  The US markets are also getting very close to a sell signal.  Event-driven corrections are usually short-lived, so I’m not feeling good about selling off; but in this case, the nuclear issue may be with us for awhile and it may get worse.  I’ll stick to my discipline and will have to start working on reentry points.  Discipline trumps “feelings”!
